Explanation of history and methods.

Apparently earlier, during an ill-begotten nap of mine that I probably shouldn't have taken, Hal made a comment of "Lye the beans," assumed to be sort of a subtle indication of Ricin manufacturing, done by his supporters in preparation for the 21st of next month. It's relatively easy to make and use, but you would have to be absolutely mad to even consider manufacturing it; not only would it indicate a desperate wish to kill in large numbers, it carries an up-to-thirty years prison sentence, and that's only the charge of manufacturing and possession. Usage that results in murder carries, I'd imagine, an even steeper cost, since it involves the use of a known and acknowledged toxic substance with the intent to cause harm; this shit was considered for use as a biological weapon back in the first and second World Wars, though remained unused since it didn't provide a large enough effect to target masses of enemy troops. In relative comparison to a protest over the course of a single day, it might be enough, but the necessary amounts would probably be huge; anyone manufacturing it for Hal, hypothetically speaking, would need to transport it to his location, as opposed to making it there.

And it's not entirely unbelievable that a toxin would be considered as a weapon against Anonymous; remember, there are a few genuinely unlaced individuals within Hal's supporters. If you look into his comments for entries past, you'll see all sorts of oddly-militaristic planning for defense (that fucking hunting dog, I swear), so having some ass pop up with the suggestion of "Hay u guys y dont wee gas em lol" doesn't seem too far-fetched. I haven't found a connection so far with the usage of Lye in the process of creating Ricin so far, but that's taking what Hal said literally considering the process of manufacturing. "Lye the beans" could also mean add lye among beans, referencing Hal's disdain for Mexicans. Have to see how this develops.
